Sunshine and the March Shefford Community Market – an irresistible combination!
It looks as if the sunshine is here to stay (at least for a few more days), so what better time to pop into Shefford Town Centre this Saturday, 8th March and take a stroll around the Shefford Community Market. The market will be open between 9am and 1pm and we have 26 stalls selling a wide range of goods, including clothes, jams, chutneys, meat, poultry, pies and sausages, books, crochet toys, wooden educational products, candles, hats, sunglasses, gift hampers, wax melts, natural dog treats, cushions, bags and more, plus the biggest lucky dip stall that you will ever see – they’re raising money for charity and have 36 different categories for all ages, genders and pets!
You definitely won’t go hungry as there will be plenty to eat – Willies Garden Kitchen is joining us for the first time with delicious gourmet rolls, including breakfast options of bacon, hash brown, egg and cheese muffins – or no bacon option for the veggies, plus lunch options which include 12 hour slow cooked lamb, homemade Woburn venison burger, pulled lemon and Cajun chicken and grilled aubergine, along with sides of crispy parmentier potatoes and homemade coleslaw. It all looks delicious! Plant Baked in Herts will also have a selection of plant based cakes, including gluten free.
St Michael & All Angels Church (next to Jardine’s Chemist) will be open from around 10am serving tea/coffee and biscuits – they will also have a stall inside selling dry foods in compostable bags, including oats, muesli, nuts, seeds and dried fruit, as well as honey. They also host The History Society on the 2nd Saturday of the month, so if you would like to find out more or have something interesting to show them, they would love to meet you.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, which is forecast to be the hottest day of the year so far!
